HUESKER Group establishes Australian Subsidiary

Following the recent acquisition of NBW Mining (Aust) Pty Ltd, the HUESKER Group is proud to announce the establishment of HUESKER Australia Pty Ltd. Currently on a global expansion drive, HUESKER Australia will better enable the group to provide its entire high quality product and solution portfolio to clients in Australasia.

HUESKER’s global team of highly qualified, experienced engineers collaborates with clients, delivering detailed designed geosynthetic solutions with the aim of increasing safety, contributing to sustainability, cutting construction times and decreasing over all solution costs. Newly appointed Managing Director, Morné Breytenbach stated: “Going forward, we are excited to provide NBW customers with the same high level of service and quality they have become accustomed to. Importantly, we will service and supply the infrastructure, civil, environmental and hydraulic construction and engineering industries directly.” With market leading solutions including HUESKER’s polyester asphalt reinforcement Hatelit C, as well as the coastal protection and dewatering tubes technology SoilTain, the Australian team approaches each challenge in a collaborative manner.

Breytenbach has nearly two decades of development, manufacturing and installation experience in the geosynthetics industry. After his last assignment as Area Manager Mining at the German headquarters, he and his family recently relocated to Queensland, Australia from where HUESKER Australia will be operated.

The acquisition and the subsequent name change was celebrated at the Sydney Opera House with HUESKER Group’s CEO Dr. F.- Hans Grandin stated: „With Morné Breytenbach at the head of HUESKER Australia, we are now well prepared to offer our whole range of efficient applications and systems for innovative and lasting solutions with geosynthetics throughout Australasia. We are really looking forward to many new projects and challenges and are excited about becoming an integral part of the Australian geosynthetics market.”
